some day, some how.

Somewhere out there
In the high mountain air
Is the girl, that I would have married

But the summer was too long
And the ocean was too wide
And the burden too heavy, to be carried
In the fall when things went new
We walked down and wandered through
And her words set my restless mind to dreaming
When her soft warm caress made the hours stop and rest
I wonder if it was, what it was seeming
But the summer was too long
And the ocean was too wide
And our dreams too heavy to be carried
In those quiet autumn days, sitting in some small café
Our words they were said to each other
Yes and when late afternoon casted shadows across the room
We walked back down the road together
In the winter
Through the snow you would appear
And we lay around and laugh, and times were easy
But our words were deaf and blind, to the coming summertime
Even though we knew inside, it wasn’t coming
And in the spring when it was warm, I withhold your suntanned arms
And we walked across the grass, just feeling lazy
But our nights had just begun, to be worried restless ones
At the thoughts of the summer weighted heavy
When you’re young, your life it seems, like an endless happy dream
But your choices aren’t always yours for making
So I sailed across the meads, with a promise and a kiss
And I saw her face in every way, it’s breaking me
And the summer was too long
And the ocean was too wide
And the burden too heavy to be carried
We’ll I’ve seen her lots of times, since that summer on the
And I know what we‘ve used to have is over
But somehow, I can’t be sad
Thinking about the times we had
It was love, and I’ll remember it forever
And somewhere out there, In the high mountain air
Is the girl, that I would have married
But the summer was too long
And the ocean was too wide
And the burden too heavy, to be carried
